Privacy policy
What happens to the personal data you send us through the contact form — what we collect, why, for how long, and the rights you have over it. Written in plain language, but covering what the GDPR requires.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Squdo (VAT/CVR: 46669029, Denmark) is the data controller for the personal data you send through this website. As the controller, we decide why and how your data is processed.
If you have a question about your data, or want to exercise any of your rights, send it through the contact form and mark it as a privacy request. We will answer without unnecessary delay.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect what you type into the contact form:
- Your name
- Your company
- Your work email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to add one
- Your message
- The date and time of your submission
3. Why we use your data, and on what legal basis
We use your details to read and reply to your enquiry, and to keep a record of the correspondence between us. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
The legal basis for replying to your enquiry is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. The legal basis for keeping a record of our correspondence is Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in handling the enquiry properly and being able to account for the advice we give. Where we are required by law to keep a record, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(c).
4. Who can see your data
Only our team can access the details you send us. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.
Our website and its database are hosted by a hosting provider that processes data on our behalf and only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement, as allowed by Article 28 of the GDPR.
5. Where your data is stored
Your details are stored in a secured database hosted within the European Union. We do not transfer your personal data outside the EU/EEA.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and keep a record of our correspondence. If no engagement follows, we delete the exchange within 24 months of our last contact. You can also ask us to delete it sooner.
7. How we protect it
Your data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access-controlled database. Access is limited to our team, and only where needed to handle your enquiry.
8. The readiness check
The online readiness check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us, are not stored anywhere, and are not used to identify you.
9. Cookies and tracking
This site uses no advertising cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. Nothing is placed on your device to follow you around the web.
10. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to:
- Get a copy of the personal data we hold about you (right of access)
- Have incorrect data corrected (right of rectification)
- Ask us to delete your data (right of erasure)
- Ask us to restrict or stop processing your data (right to restriction and right to object)
- Receive your data in a portable format, where technically applicable (right to data portability)
- Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent
11. Complaining to a supervisory authority
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
12. Children
This website is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date below.
